Sometimes what feels like loss is actually preparation.
There are seasons when the old sources we once drew life from begin to weaken—success, affirmation, relationships, accomplishments, dreams, or even things that once brought us deep satisfaction.
And in that transition, the soul can feel the emptiness of what is being surrendered while simultaneously sensing that something deeper is being formed.
Perhaps the Father is teaching you what it means to live from Jesus alone.
Perhaps what feels like emptiness is actually an invitation to discover Christ as the only true source of life.
The process can be painful, but it is not pointless. Christ is being formed in His people.
As 1 John 3:2 reminds us, “when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
If you are in a season where old sources of life are fading, don't immediately assume something is wrong. God may be preparing you for something deeper.
