What does it really mean to be “preserved blameless” in spirit, soul, and body until the coming of Jesus Christ?
In 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Paul gives us a remarkable prayer: that the God of peace would sanctify us wholly and preserve our spirit, soul, and body blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But how is this possible?
In this powerful teaching, we explore the difference between being led by our soul and emotions and being led by the Holy Spirit. We look at what Scripture says about the spirit, soul, body, and heart—and why understanding how God created us matters to our spiritual growth.
Then we turn to Galatians 3 and Paul's challenging question:
“Did you receive the Spirit by doing what the law commands, or by believing the message you heard?”
The Christian life was never meant to be lived through our own strength. What begins by the Spirit cannot be perfected by the flesh.
Jesus did not simply come to help us improve our old life. He came so that Christ could live in us.
