Tamarind shrimp is a “very Thai” dish in my mind.

I’m not officially classifying dishes by any means, it’s just something I feel personally. To elaborate and to give an example, by contrast, pad see ew does not taste “very Thai” to me despite its ubiquity and popularity because it is a heavily Chinese influenced dish that retains much of its Chinese characteristics. And when you taste it, if you didn’t know, you might not be able to identify it as Thai.

Is there a dish you think taste “very Thai”?
