In a world where it feels like we are pulled more and more into being a part of the group and conforming, it can be really confusing to figure out who we are and what we believe in. People who do know what they believe in are often afraid of speaking out when their beliefs conflict with those of the group, and especially when those views may be subject to scrutiny online as "cancel culture" and dog piling take center stage. Even as the world has become more accepting of different views, it has become more hostile towards those who might not see things the same.
As a content creator, I often wonder how my views and opinions will be seen down the road. All it takes is one line or word spoken in a way that one group or another doesn't like and the rush to virtue signal begins. I honestly think it's time we learn how to not only accept those with differing opinions, but learn how to have conversations and positive discourse rather than rushing to shut down ideas and thoughts that are different from our own. I've pushed to open the conversation on sensitive or controversial topics in each of my videos recently and I will continue to do so as long as I am making videos because I think it's important to be willing to hear out opposing viewpoints and work to better understand each other.
