What does having about 40k followers across two platforms really get you? Honestly, not much! Most of my social media related income is due to content creation and social media management for other businesses. That’s not to say you can’t make money as an influencer but as someone who doesn’t use TikTok Shop and refuses to endorse brands i’m not truly excited about, my money from sponsored posts and brand partnerships is probably lower than most people of my following size. And, honestly at the end of the day i just love inspiring people and supporting small businesses. I would keep making videos even if i never made another cent When it comes to starting my Social Media Management company in February, it has been such a blessing! I love working with different clients and learning more about the industries they are involved. There also probably plenty of SMMs of the same client size who make much more than I do. Which is part of my value to small businesses and restaurants but can definitely be taxing when trying to support multiple projects. A big question for myself as we enter the new year is is social media management a side hustle or is this something I want to take full time. Yes, I do all of this on top of a 9 to 5 (actually 8 to 5 🥲) This is such a weird post to make but I am a huge believer in transparency (especially pay transparency).
