I've been doing this whole YouTube thing for a few years now and I've heard from more than a few people how it's a waste of time. "You'll never amount to anything" they tell me, so why do it? One thing I've found in life is that there is always something to be learned from every experience. It doesn't matter if you "fail" or "succeed" in any endeavor, what matters is whether you learned anything from it. So, what have I learned from being a YouTuber?
Aside from the obvious things like video editing, Photoshop for thumbnails, basic marketing, social media marketing and how to research things, I've also learned what I enjoy, what I don't like, how to speak in front of people (and speak better in general) and so much more. Working on building a YouTube channel can teach you a lot, if you just take the time to think about it.
