Firstly, there is the victims of state propaganda in Russia. These people consider themselves patriots. And they constantly think about the global war and the international conspiracy against Russia. What do Russians think of Latin America? Russian patriots like Latin America. They believe that all the countries of Latin America condemn corporate capitalism, imperialism and lack of spirituality in USA. Latin American countries are close to Russia. Religiosity, spirituality, patriotism, family values and hatred of North America. These are our common features.
Secondly, in Russia there are adherents of Western values. What do Russians think about Hispanic culture? Democrats and liberals are confident that Russia should be friends with the US and Europe. They believe that Latin America is the same developing countries, like Russia. The monstrous corruption, poor infrastructure, education disgusting, medieval medicine. In short, we are brothers in misfortune. But Russia must break out of that bad company.
Thirdly, apolitical Russians rarely think about Latin America. They generally don't think much about other people's countries. What Russians think about Latin America? Knowledge of conventional Russians are limited to stereotypes about Latin America.
