The sun is and has always been white, but culture has a profound impact on people's knowledge of their world.
Culture impacts us, even in the area of science! Why does NASA tint the sun yellow in public images of the sun? Good question!
I explore atmospheric effects on color, Black Body Radiation. Rayleigh scatter, Color temperature, and ALIENS. :). All while sharing some of my timelapse photography collected over the last 15 years.

science out there is a double entendre for outdoor science, but also the waaay out there stuff like Astronomy. You can learn a lot just being outdoors. As more and more of the planet gets developed we are losing more and more of our dark skies, natural places, and our harmony with nature, and getting out of touch with the world around us. Making these videos gives me a reason to get outside and learn something. To meditate. To wonder. To think. Maybe I can inspire YOU to do the same!
