firstcauseargument | What Caused God? (RC Sproul) @firstcauseargument | Uploaded May 2012 | Updated October 2024, 9 minutes ago.
R. C. Sproul speaks on the mistaken assumption that the causal principle suggests that everything must have a cause. This is NOT the causal principle as many atheists seem to suggest. This has lead many skeptics to rebut with the familiar line "what caused God then?" with respect to the Kalam Cosmological Argument. But the causal princinple (which the first premise of the Kalam Cosmologial Argument is based on) says that every effect must have a cause.
