This mini-series about sound design is part of a larger series of making NES style 8-bit chiptune music with FamiTracker. In this is a short informative clip giving a basic explanation of the different colors of sound. Video 1 discusses white noise, what it is, and how it is similar to white light. Video 2 expands on this idea, and describes the qualitative differences between white noise, brown noise, pink noise, blue noise, violet noise, and black noise. We can use this information to make better use of the Noise Channel in FamiTracker to make percussion parts and sound effects.
