PLEASE READ: (lyrics below)- Watch in HD for best experience. :) This request of song/fandom is by possumgirl119, in memory of her beloved grandmother Patsy Gray. :) Vid story follows lyrics, mainly about regrets – both Heathcliff’s and Cathy’s. Symbolism (of course lol)- the sketches, oils, pastels, paintings- all show a 2D pretense, of what is not real or what they believe is not real – i.e. - Heathcliff doesn’t believe Cathy really loves him- where the painting fades out and blends into reality shows their desires for the future. At a few points in the paintings clips, it goes to real during “dream to call my own” – showing the reality is there, the feelings are real, but neither of them had enough faith in outside circumstances to carry their mutual wishes through, so they remained a pretty picture without substance. Where it happens at end (when she comes for him) - shows hope for the reality now to pass... The first voiceover is a future moment, showing where Heathcliff wished he would have told her his feelings. As the vid progresses, Heathcliff realizes all he lost, too late, and that Cathy’s love was true, her fears of what others would think having gotten in the way.
