As part of its ongoing two-year project ‘Swamping,' curated by Pauline Doutreluingne, Kunstverein Arnsberg presented the opening of Patricia Domínguez’s exhibition ‘Liquid Mantras’ on June 27, 2025, followed by the transdisciplinary symposium ‘Wetlands for the Future’ on June 28–29 at Kloster Wedinghausen in Arnsberg.
Domínguez’s ‘Liquid Mantras' addresses the privatization and loss of water in Chile, portraying water as a force of resistance with artworks functioning as ritual acts of empowerment. The exhibition remains on view through August 23 at Kunstverein Arnsberg.
The two-day ‘Wetlands for the Future’ symposium featured presentations by ecologists, students, artists and curators engaging with the past and future of wetlands. The starting point was the question of how artists explore the moor as poetic, social and ecological potential, as well as a hybrid space.
