Wet wood turning feels different from the moment you pick up the tool — the wood cuts cleanly, moves with you, and the shavings come off in a way that seasoned timber rarely matches. This oak crotch piece was a customer commission, which added a layer of real-world pressure, but the natural form of the crotch made the design decisions straightforward.
The grain figure in a crotch piece is always unpredictable in the best way. This one didn't disappoint.
