Episode 29 of Turner's Journey, and what a week it's been. I'm thinking about where the series goes from here and have decided to wrap up the season at Episode 30, then take a well-earned break for a few weeks. Teaching remains the priority, and I'll only film during lessons when I'm confident it won't get in the way of the student's experience.
There's been some lovely work in the workshop this week. Les was turning enormous oak pillars for an architect's staircase, and I've been quietly carving and hand sanding a hollow form demonstration piece that I'm really pleased with. A project video for that is on its way.
It's also been a marathon few days outside the workshop. The RPT's AGM in London, a committee meeting on Thursday, a demonstration down at Yandles in Somerset on Friday evening (thank you to everyone who came along), and then straight back for teaching on Saturday and Sunday. And in the middle of all that, my copies of A Maker's Mindset arrived. The book goes live on Amazon on the 3rd of March, and I'm busy signing copies for those of you kind enough to pre-order.
