Western Michigan in the Fall 2023
Every year, Lori and I take a trip together. In September of 2023, we took a trip to Western Michigan. On our road trip, we came from the south and started in Fennville at Virtue Cider. We then went on to our Airbnb and home base for the week in Grand Haven. The first full day, we toured around Grand Haven and enjoyed the sites and food and drinks in the city. We also enjoyed the Musical Fountain Show.
Day 2 we headed up to Traverse City. We stopped in a Rove Winery that morning and then shopped for Traverse Cherries and met our friend, Eileen, for lunch and Mission Point Lighthouse. We even stopped by to see the world record pie plate for the largest cherry pie.
Day 3 we were off to Silver Lake to take a dune ride with Mac Wood's Dune Rides.
Day 4 we were on to Holland, Michigan for Windmill Island, Holland Food Tours and Big Red lighthouse in Holland Harbor.
