A Trio of GE "NR's" , make easy work of the 2.2% grade on the approach to Mt' Lofty Station, in the Adelaide Hills. The NR's are an Aussie success story, being designed for local conditions, using the CV-40i platform , from General Electric, USA.
In 2026, they are celebrating 30 yrs in service, and are only now starting to be replaced with new models.
