This was the first 35mm stereocamera I've built. By that time I had not yet thought about the right size of the stereo frames. So I believed two 24x36 mm frames would be perfect. I took me some time to find out, that for serveral reasons this is not the best choice.
Anyway... on the other hand this Werra is a nice range finder stereocamera with all the advantages of the Werra III: a very bright viewfinder with distance meter and interchangable lenses.
Both shutters are cocked and released simultaneously. One problem with these full frame stereocameras is, that the film transport becomes "irregular" - you take two pictutes, and then you have to transport the film for three frames without releasing the shutter. As there is always the danger of getting confused with that sequence, I have installed a special indicator that tells you, if you are allowed to fire the shutter. As long as you can see the red signs in the window on the right side of the top cover, you have to transport the film first.
