Rather than relying on slogans or assumptions, this video examines:
The historical context in which Treaties 6, 7, and 8 were negotiated

How oral understandings, translation, and cultural differences played a role
Where legitimate grievances exist—and where modern interpretations may overreach the historical record
This is not about dismissing Indigenous perspectives, nor is it about blindly accepting government narratives. It’s about slowing down, reading the documents, and honestly examining the evidence so Canadians can better understand what was agreed to, what wasn’t, and why these questions still matter today.
