Today we tore deeper into our Scania V8 than we ever have before.
In this video I completely strip the fuel system off the engine — pulling the injectors and removing the injection pump so we can send everything off to Industrial Injection for performance upgrades.
This is one of the most important steps in the entire build. The fuel system is what controls how much power this engine can actually make, and upgrading it is how we’re going to push this thing to the next level.
Along the way I walk through what we’re doing, how the system works, and what makes this Scania V8 different from your typical diesel engine.
This is just the beginning.
Next step — the Caterpillar engine is coming out of the pulling truck, and we start making room for something way more serious. We’ve got custom fabrication, exhaust work, and a lot more coming.
