In 2023, Queensland Symphony Orchestra welcomes Umberto Clerici as its Chief Conductor.

The musical focus for 2023 will centre on the classical era: Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, but also Schubert, Strauss, Prokofiev, Bartók, and Stravinsky. We look back to the past and the values of the classical period: rationalism, universality, cosmopolitanism, and elegance.
