FlightChops | Weirdest visualization of a Spin? #Shorts @FlightChops | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 1 hour ago
Aerobatics one day, IFR Flying the next - Gotta love what the RV-14 can do.
This post is sponsored by ForeFlight and Sirius XM Aviation.
Seeing a Spin with the 360 cam stabilization accidentally set to a point on the earth, instead of something connected to the aircraft, rendered probably the coolest visualization of a Spin I have ever seen... Granted, this doesn't do much for debriefing what I was doing with the controls, but to understand what is happening to the airframe during a spin, this is awesome.
(The latest full episode on YouTube debriefs this flight working on recovering from spins on exact headings.)
At the end I have a clip from a recent IFR flight down to video Sporty's; We had to divert when unexpected weather popped up (seriously - Thunderstorms in February, in Ohio!?) Watch for that full episode soon.
