Somebody should take all the versions of Mars that appear in games and make a planet out of them.
Muck Men from Mars! is a light puzzle game by Christopher R. Kraai published in 1991 or 1992 and possibly the guy's only game. It was distributed for free but who knows how and where.
Enter Duke Skytripper (I see what the dev did there), space explorer extraordinaire. Unfortunately, his ship crashes somewhere on Mars and the local Martians are not exactly too happy to see him. Or perhaps they are happy to eat him. Who knows. What is worse, Duke's napalm blaster was damaged in the crash so it is only usable once per enemy encounter!
The objective of each level is to clear the area of the muck men. There are three ways to get rid of them. If two muck men collide, they turn into a green pile of goop. If more muck men hit the goop, they also die. Lastly, Duke can use his napalm blaster once per level to destroy any muck men in the immediate square around him.
Duke is also armed with his Blink-O-Matic teleportation device. The device is unlimited but completely random and can just teleport him straight into a muck man.
I like the concept of the game. There is a lot that can be remade and the muck men look cute. My gripe is the teleporter since there is no real strategy. It is required to be used often but can just doom you immediately.
I found it best to luck out at the initial wave and then to hug corners and teleport until there is one muck man left for the blaster shot.
In my headcanon Duke Skytripper is a business partner of Mylo Steamwitz.

Destroyed waifu pillows. In a DOOM WAD. The only step lower now is to play a Terry WAD. [DOOM 2] DemonSteele - MAP15 + SECRET MAPS](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/s_DUXmuX34U/mqdefault.jpg)

Special moves. My bane in action games, my bane here. There are a couple and I should learn them. For now even DOOM 2 maps suddenly seem harder. [DOOM 2] DemonSteele - MAP11-MAP12](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/u0Z3efb8Rks/mqdefault.jpg)
