This is a video of us weighing the kittens. We weighed them twice a day for several weeks and then once a day after that to make sure that they were gaining weight. There were 7 kittens in the litter and sometimes there was fighting over a spot to nurse. We did end up having to supplement on kitten with formula from about 4-6 weeks old because he wasn't gaining as much as the others. He's doing fine now!
We foster cats for Clear Creek Cat Rescue and these are our current kittens. In this video, they are about 3 weeks old. There are seven kittens in this litter and all are black and white. Mom is a seal point snowshoe, so they look nothing like her. These kittens have all been pre-adopted and will start going to their new families next week. Mom should be ready for adoption in January.
I'm sharing this video because we have incorporated care for these kittens into our homeschool routine, and we use ABA principles when helping to socialize the cats and kittens we foster.
