happy weekend everybody ☃️ I hope this vlog brings you some cozy and warm feelings, it is surely a strange year, and the first time winter/the holiday season will be spent with such restrictions.
so i thought it was quite the suitable hour to bring you this. makes me feel nostalgic, longing, and bittersweet to look back on this time. during the thanksgiving break of my junior year in university, the 4 of us spent it in a little cabin in Maine that was near a ski resort. I must've gotten busy with finals once we returned, so I tucked away the footage for a tentative future date to edit.
It was kira and lilith's first time skiing, and although we only got one day to visit the slopes (first week they were open = rough conditions and scary to ski on for us), it was super memorable. and as you could see.... lilith is a fearless speed devil, she is clearly a natural, and kira picked it up quick too. tyler's skied since he was 6, is also great at snowboarding, and then there's me... the slow poke that has suffered enough scary falls and injuries (the stowe vlog lol) to know better than to risk it! LOL. but i am happy to report that a few years later, I am actually okay and can go a BIT faster when I'm feeling myself haha, and there aren't too many people around me that I worry about bumping into.
It's also strange to see how much has changed, 2018 thanksgiving was the last one where I ate meat. Look at that long ginger hair! such cringe at my black roots, but what can ya do.
