i hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you from my little converted office- I'm hesitant to call it a studio at the moment because I have yet to do anything art related. I've been pretending like school doesn't exist for the last week and now, I'm about to pound out some homework assignments that are due in less than 3 days...haha
if you're wondering about lilith (because I didn't explain much)- she decided to stay in RI because she began a full time job, and they are currently working remotely and she is staying in her house with house mates and prairie. I might not get to see her until late august! she is a real adult now haha ~and I am very thankful she got a car for commuting just in time, or else cleaning and packing would've been a very different story...
Home now, I will try my best to be consistent and update you! I don't know why, but my mind's been bugging me lately. I feel, not lazy, but like... shy/reserved and I don't want to produce any art because I feel a lot of expectations from myself... and I also feel like if I don't do something really impressive, then I will have wasted time I could spend doing school-related work you know- but this is dumb! If someone told me this, I would encourage them to embrace creating and to not feel guilty.
I have these conversations with myself often haha... ok fine i will do it.
I shall paint! I will....
sending you my love, and just know that you shouldn't feel guilty, either, if you just want to do something for fun and realize it may not contribute to anything 'productive' or 'developmental'. life is to be lived, after all. that's all from me for now- love you
