This past January, a 1969 Roadrunner with a 426 crossed the block and sold as a legitimate Hemi Car.
It has an original VIN tag that calls out the 426 Hemi option. The problem is, no Hemi cars were ever built in the plant that this particular example came from, and the car has none of the important frame additions that all factory produced Hemi cars were born with.
It's obvious the VIN was a simple and common typo, but rather than sell the car as a clone, it was offered up as the genuine thing.
