The disassembly and inspection of our classic digger continues, and it reveals certain elements of the car that both date it and show how it was modified during it's competitive life to keep up with the rapidly evolving technology of the era.
Chassis and wheelbase changes, safety upgrades, the unusual Chrysler/Olds Pontiac hybrid rear housing, and most importantly, how these cars used an open differential to go fast and give their drivers the ability to steer with the brake handle.
