Over the last few years, networks of surveillance cameras like those made by Flock and Leonardo have been popping up in cities and towns all over the world.
Their stated purpose is to enhance public safety, but oddly enough, they started appearing at the same time as the push for EVs along with biometric identifiers and kill switches built into every new car, and the construction of huge data centers all over the country.
It would seem that somebody somewhere would like to see huge segments of society herded like sheep into designated population centers and keep them from roaming freely. Is this how the often talked about 15 minutes city is finally enforced?
