Staying at a Japanese inn with onsen is one of the best, most relaxing experiences you can do while travelling in Japan. This weekend, we visited Nagano's oldest onsen town, Bessho Onsen, to stay in a luxurious ryokan, Bessho Onsen Midoriya. It had everything! Private onsen, modern rooms and beautiful gardens - complete with delicious local izakaya nearby.
