This Grade I listed 400-year-old medieval townhouse in Gloucester, England, has been restored. 🙌

26 Westgate Street, also known as the Old Judges' House, is the largest surviving historic timber-framed townhouse in England. Today, it's home to the Gloucester Antique Centre.

The building had been on our #HeritageAtRisk Register since 2012 due to its decaying condition. Now the building is secure for future generations.

During the medieval period, the building fronted the main market area on Westgate Street and was known as ‘the mercery’ due to its concentration of cloth merchants.
