Berlin Climate and Security Conference (BCSC) 2022 addressed climate impacts on peace and stability and its interlinkages with current geopolitical challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, trade and energy security and the looming food crisis. From 11- 12 October, the in-person segment brought together high-Level political actors, climate security experts, international organisations and practitioners.
In this interview, Alexander Carius discusses the progress seen throughout 4 years of BCSC and the evolution of climate, peace and security discourse.
