We love turtles 🥰
Ok I know you probably expect this coming from an Aquarium, but it’s true! We really, really love turtles!
We love them so much that we rescue and rehabilitate cold-stunned sea turtles at our Sea Turtle Hospital, we participate in a program alongside Zoo New England to help give endangered local turtle hatchlings a better chance at survival in the wild, we tag nesting leatherback sea turtles in Puerto Rico with our Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life, we provide high-quality care to our resident turtles (shout out to Myrtle, Retread, and Carolina in our Giant Ocean Tank), and so much more.
So here is to you, turtles. Enjoy your day today for World Turtle Day. We love you! 🐢💚
