Have you ever heard fish communicate? Well, now you have! 📻⚡

Mormyrids (or elephantnose fish) are an "ancient" species of fish with electric organs that can emit electric signals to communicate.

Using a special tool designed by our aquarists, we are able to "tune in" on the radio and listen to their chatter. Although it may sound like radio static to us, those sounds are how these fish navigate their environment and communicate with each other.
