As I was capturing further test footage of dual GoPro Hero Black 11 Minis & Zoom H3VR rig to create 'Immersive Spatial Video', I came across this lovely group of ladies called "The Merry Wives of Windsor" and couldn't help but capture a little bit of their act.
Sadly, I almost ruined this footage due to GoPro's misuse of acronyms, using the term FPS instead of Shutter timing and left it on 30. Thinking due to the FPS suffix, we were talking about the framerate, which maxes out at 30fps in 5K mode. That was not the case, and sadly it meant a shutter speed of 1/30, which on this bright mid-day sun, really blew out the scene. Luckily, and great kudos to GoPro for having 10-bit, flat, along with native color and in the "LAB" firmware an experimental LOG mode, which I chose 'LOG 400' which matches quite nicely with a gamma setting in Davinci Resolve Studio Color grading mode when using ColorBrite color chart, which I now use along with aa grey card to color balance all my footage. Not only do I have the chart, but it is attached to a small clapper board so I can use the "clap" to audio sync my two cameras and the Zoom H3VR for the AmbiX audio in this video, which wasn't necessary since there was plenty of percussive instruments to work with. The final render was 6144x6144 (5312x4648 projected on 6144x6144 hemisphere) in half-equirectangular ProRes Proxy 4:2:2 HQ bt709 since YouTube VR180 doesn't do HDR (and frankly due to blowing it out, I didn't have 10 bits to work with anymore. I then created a 4-channel AmbiX channel for YouTube and another Dobly ATMO 7.1.2 mix for the Apple Vision Pro. The former was scaled down using FFMPEG HEVC to 8192x4096 SBS for YouTube and left at the 6144x6144 dual video channels plus Dolby ATMOS channel to mux in Mike Swanson, excellent Spatial Encoder Tool.
