In this HiTop Films video, HiTop discusses how our fan expectation and nostalgia has begun to destroy the possibility of seeing good Marvel Multiverse, DC Multiverse, stories. We Killed the Multiverse. It all started with Spider-Man No Way Home, an innocent idea of doing what we have dreamed of, bringing Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland together. Maybe it started with Spider-Verse before that.
Now, that innocence is now gone, lost. With The Flash being a Beautiful Lie filled with horrendous soulless cameos, Multiverse of Madness barely working due to the soul of Sam Raimi, and the future looking ever so predictable, why don’t we dream bigger.
I guess this is a HiTop Films Spider-Man Video, a Spider-Man Video Essay. Or Maybe it’s a MCU Video Essay. Maybe a DCEU Video Essay. I dunno. The point is something needs to change. We need to start dreaming bigger.
