Our Alaska cruise adventure continues with an unforgettable day in Skagway, Alaska, riding the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway and experiencing the breathtaking beauty of Glacier Bay National Park aboard Princess Cruises. After having to cancel our original bucket-list Yukon excursion because of our missing passport, we set out to discover if Plan B could be even better.
We spend the day exploring the historic Gold Rush town of Skagway, climbing through the mountains on one of Alaska's most iconic train rides, surviving a very entertaining (and slightly sketchy!) tender boat ride, enjoying Cocktails with the Confers at Skagway Brewing Company, and finally experiencing the destination we built this cruise itinerary around—Glacier Bay National Park.
When planning our Alaska cruise, we specifically chose Princess Cruises because it's one of the few cruise lines permitted to sail into Glacier Bay National Park, one of America's most spectacular and protected national parks. Watching massive glaciers, learning from the onboard National Park Rangers, and taking in this incredible wilderness was truly a bucket-list experience.
