Tom calls in fired up to defend his vote for Donald Trump, so Jimmy decides to give him a "baby's civics test" — using only questions pulled from a basic citizenship quiz.

What follows is a slow-motion trainwreck: Tom can't name the branches of government, doesn't know what the Constitution is, has never heard of the Bill of Rights, and eventually declares that the FBI is a branch of government.

Along the way he brings up "doom and gloom" from the 70s and 80s, cites the 1980 Miracle on Ice as some kind of political evidence, admits he "doesn't do shit" for a living, and casually mentions a past traumatic brain injury.

Jimmy walks him through it all with a mix of disbelief and dark comedy, eventually thanking him for his time — and for "helping us illustrate who the Trump voters are." Tom, for his part, takes it all in stride, ending the call with genuinely no hard feelings.
