Be free.
This is some sort of mantra I've been repeating to my mother over the years, in hopes of encouraging her to just sit and enjoy the moment. She tends to be very schedule-oriented. Whereas Ivana and I tend to... be free. The 5 of us (my parents, Ivana and I, and baby Jean) have been traveling together for over a month now, and our different travel styles (life styles, really) sometimes become apparent.
Example: Every single day, and I mean that literally: every. single. day. My mother will ask "what time should we have dinner tonight?"
....
Now, and I say this without the slightest bit of hyperbole, Ivana and I-- having lived together for more than 3 years, and then traveling together for more than 6 years now-- have never asked each other this once. Really! Ivana and I have eaten dinner together nearly everyday for 10 years, and we've never once made a plan for what optimal dinner time should be.
Here's the twist: somehow, we've not starved to death... not even once.
And so, let's talk about Austin, Texas.
I had heard a lot about this place before arriving, mainly: it's the progressive stronghold in the otherwise conservative Texas, Joe Rogan has a comedy club there, and 6th street is a great party street, if you can get past all the homelessness. So, we ventured around to see what it was really like.
First things first: how have we not heard about the river?!?! We couldn't believe our eyes. The population of Austin is around 1 million people, and yet the riverfront is seriously gorgeous. It's a refreshing bit of pristine, relaxing, and seemingly unpolluted nature to enjoy, literally minutes from the downtown. I can't remember another city having a riverfront like the one in Austin. Wow.
Second: How did I not know that Texas A&M is in Austin? What this means to a huge football fan like myself is: the 100,000 seat stadium that the Longhorns play at is in Austin! This massive university (and massively popular football team) is probably why there are so many young people walking around, excercising, and enjoying the riverfront. The whole area was like a huge, clean, organized college campus. Just great.
And then we saw it: the BEER sign. Right in the middle of the river. Must've been a sandbar?-- there were 40-50 people drifting aimlessly in various man-powered craft (kayak, stand up paddle board, infatable mattress, driftwood, whatever) and a young lady floating in the middle of the pack, with a clearly homemade sign that said "BEER". The entire scene, with the green/aqua water, the skyline in the background, wow. These people clearly understood the assignment: be free.
Austin, Texas is a great place to travel. I wish we had more time there. I'm cautiously confident I felt the vibe people talk about. I wish I could come back another Sunday, and join in on the beer-in-the-river-floatathon. I wish I could bring my mom down there. I know the water temperature/ sun screen/ mosquitos would be an ongoing issue, but, it was an inviting place. And something I won't forget.
Thanks for reading.
Be free.

![I came to Saudi Arabia to learn more about Islam 🇸🇦 (FIRST TIME IN RIYADH)
Put Saudi Arabia on your bucket list to travel to in 2025 and add the National Museum, Diriyah & Boulevard city as things you must see while youre there! They are truly some of the top things to do in Riyadh. Watch this videofor the best 24 hour Riyadh itinerary.
We started at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia. Its free to enter, and incredibly well done starting from 5000 B.C to modern times. Learning about the golden age of Islam, as well as the First Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we got to know the place we are in much better. Not to mention: we wish to see the Nabataean tombs one day!
Then we went for traditional Saudi Arabia food at Najd Village. The design/ambiance is great! We tried camel kabsa & maqluba, and finished our meal with Saudi Arabian coffee. The camel was A+, the maqluba was delicious!.. and the coffee took some getting used to. It was a bit like cardamom tea? Anyway, a hot drink after a good meal is very nice, so we finished the entire pot!
Next was Diriyah. We cannot say enough about this place! Masterfully restored mud buildings that have an incredible history of not only the foundation of Saudi Arabia as we know it, but also the center of Islamic study for centuries. Bonus: its highly instagram-able! We wandered around and learned lots... and even made a friend at the end! (Dressing like a local makes you very approachable)
To finish up our Riyadh itinerary, we went to Boulevard City. It couldnt be more opposite from Riyadh! They call it the Times Square of Saudi Arabia. We can see why! Lights everywhere, huge screens, and people all around taking photo and shopping. The modern side of Riyadh was fun to explore.
Its interesting to note all the American restaurants in Saudi. Although, the most popular place is Al-Baik. A local fried chicken shop that is better than KFC?? We had to try it!
Stay tuned to our next video for not only Al-Baik review, but also many other Saudi foods.
Thanks for watching!

![Is Minas Gerais the BEST STATE in Brazil? (Beautiful mountains, friendly people, delicious cheese)
Does Minas Gerais produce the best cheese in the world? Lets find out!
We began our journey with 45 mins of driving on a dirt road (shoutout to google maps). We were a bit nervous, because we are driving a Fiat Mobi. Lucky for us, it wasnt raining, or we might have been in trouble! In the end, we were glad we took this route, because despite the bumpiness, we loved the scenery. It was a good start to our Minas cheese experience.
We arrived at our chalet and were very impressed!! Great value, great place, and really a great property. The 1-way windows were really something special... we could sit and watch animals roam from the privacy of our chalet, and really take in the Minas countryside.
Then, we took a tour of an artesal cheese production facility at Queijaria Cinquenta. We learned a lot about the process (still wondering about rennet) and were very grateful to have our guide Maria with us. Big shoutout to google translate for helping us. The room where the cheese is stored was unbelievably great smelling. They should make a perfume that smells like that room. If a lady wore cheese perfume on a first date, you can guarantee she would get a second date.
STAY TUNED TO OUR NEXT VIDEO! BUS LIFE IS BAAAAAAACK (atleast for 1 day)

![Our Baby Took Her FIRST STEPS in Bucharest 🇷🇴
Baby Jean took her first steps! We were happy to see that, and so naturally she went and did it 5 or 6 more times afterwards. What a great day!
We decided to film a typical day in our life video. This is what a day off as full-time travel vloggers looks like. Everything you see in this travel vlog is a good example of what we do on a normal day when we are not outside exploring. It can be difficult to explore a city, especially on a hot day although we managed to go outside for an hour or two and eat the legendary haiducesc!
Thanks for watching our family vlog!

![Cowboys fan drives to Metlife Stadium for Cowboys vs Jets Week 5 in East Rutherford
My wife and I are driving our RV to every Dallas Cowboys game this year. Weve seen every kind of game it feels: Close-game losses, ugly losses, ugly wins, even a TIE! (I guess weve seen everything except a good-looking, thorough victory. Hopefully we find that this week vs the Jets.)
In this video we leave Dallas (after the Packers OT tie) and drive towards East Rutherford, New Jersey, for our upcoming match at MetLife with the New York Jets.
For the first ~1000 miles, we didnt do much except drive. Some highlights were a tuna dog, and a caterpillar.
Once we got to Virginia we stayed at a farmers market, which was a highlight! We saw some animals, ate some apples, and enjoying a VERY GOOD peach milkshake. That was fun.
We arrived in New Jersey to stay aat our friends place Adrian and Bianca. Big thanks to them. We always like crashing at their place... they are good hosts.
And so: Were ready for the game tomorrow. GO COWBOYS!

Our first time in Africa!
Get 10% off at Bellroy using my link: https://bit.ly/4q896Ka
We finally arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia after a 13-hr flight from Toronto, Canada! We are so excited to be here because not only that it is our first time in Ethiopia, but also our first time in the whole continent of Africa.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a super friendly ride driver. From that moment, we knew that Ethiopian people are going to be wonderful. We checked-in to our serviced apartment in Kirkos near Bole, Addis Ababa. This is one of safest areas in the city.
After an apartment tour, we headed to the street right away where we were blown away by how modern Addis Ababa is! The street is clean, large pedestrian walkway, bicycle path, modern bildings...we had a great first impressions of Addis Ababa.
We also had traditional Ethiopian food for dinner. It was our first time trying Ethiopian food, and we were surprised by how flavourful everything was. We had kitfo, a traditional dish which originally consist of raw meat. But, since we were new and nervous to try raw meat, we asked for it to be cooked. We aso tried beef tibs, served with Ethiopian traditional bread, injera.
Injera was the star of the show. Injera is seriously yummy and the texture is unique.
Our first day in Ethiopia was amazing. We cant wait to explore more!
