This rare Bronze Age sword was found during investigations on the protected wreck sites near Salcombe, Devon, by volunteer divers Becky Gill and Catherine Gill, from the South West Maritime Archaeological Group.

We funded a project to recruit new members and to pass knowledge and skills to a new generation of maritime archaeology volunteers, delivered in partnership with @msdsmarine

Following conservation, the sword will be donated to the @BritishMuseum, where it will be studied and made accessible for future research.
