Today is World Wildlife Day!
A day when the importance of the world's wildlife is recognized globally. This year's theme is "Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration", something that is especially close to our hearts.
Biodiversity is declining at an ever-increasing rate worldwide and an incredible 1 million species are at risk of disappearing. This loss of species is one of the great issues of our time. But we believe that it is not too late, that - if we act together now – still can reverse this negative trend.
We are Nordens Ark - the kind of conservation organization the world needs right now. We fight for viable populations of animals and plants in functioning ecosystems. And we are convinced that in the future there will be wild animals and plants - there will be a living planet.
