They have been finalist at the Inrocks Lab contest this year, with their single "Violet", which helped them to increase their notoriety.
The 5 friends share a flat and they repeat all their song each day. But what they love above all is singing together in harmony.
For their first EP "Relizane", which is released today, they performed us a second song named "Mohawk" in acoustic.

Dee Dee Penny, singer and founder of the band Dum Dum Girls, sings for us Are You Okay, excerpt of their new album Too True
She got the album idea on a impulsion, and began the writing alone in her New York appartment. As she was possessed, she continues to write and to compose in Hollywood depsite her voice weakened by all the tours shes done. After two years, a lot of work and a big amount of reflexion, she releases the album. She defines it as an attempt to reach rocknroll rank and leave pop behind.")

Deuxième lauréate du prix Paris Jeunes Talents 2013, dont 3èmeGauche était partenaire cette année, la chanteuse Mathilde Forget apprivoise sa mélancolie. Elle compose ses chansons comme les trains font défiler les paysages. Des orages grondent, des anges passent, des sentiments amoureux sinstallent.
Sa musique est la bande originale de son imagination, dans des compositions électro-acoustiques. Elle même au piano et à la guitare, elle est accompagnée sur scène par Ji eun au violoncelle et Alexis à la scie musicale et aux machines. Un trio pour le moins atypique.
Son premier EP Complaintes danges, sorti en septembre 2012 en numérique, a obtenu une belle mise en avant.
Cest aujourdhui seule et au piano quelle nous interprète son titre Vue Sur La Mer dans une ambiance surréaliste!")

Bel Plaine is a French band formed in 2012. They won the prize of Young Talents Paris and SFR Young Talents 2013. Its a new session for the cover of Nothing Arrived, song written by the band Villagers. Their new album will be release on 3 June.
We met them in Paris to the Pavillon des Canaux on the Canal de l’Ourcq for an acoustic session.

Growing up with both her parents both musicians, Kendra Morris was able to find her way at an early age. Guided by Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and the Jackson 5, she began to learn the guitar and to write her own songs. She realeased in 2012 an EP and received the Holly Prize, which rewards new talents. After a tour, shes now back with her new album «Banshee» which seems to match her nickname «the modern Janis Joplin».

It was a great honour to record a live session with the legendary jazz bassist Marcus Miller !
The musical genius, who collaborated with Miles Davis and Aretha Franklin, just released ‘Afrodeezia‘, which sounds like an ode to black music: » I wanted to go back to the roots of these rythms which make the richness of our musical legacy; to travel from Africa to the United States and follow these rythms. This trip led us to Mali, Paris, New Orleans, Sao Paulo, as well as Carribeans » told the musician.
Although it was inspired by many influences, we can definitely find on this album the unique groovy style and the inimitable bass sounds of Marcus. Alongside his musicians, he performed for us ‘Hylife‘, a terribly swinging extract from Afrodeezia !
Nous avons eu l’immense honneur d’enregistrer une session en studio avec le légendaire bassiste jazz Marcus Miller !
Ce musicien de génie, qui a collaboré avec Miles Davis ou encore Aretha Franklin, vient de sortir ‘Afrodeezia‘ un album qui sonne comme une ode aux musiques noires: « ma volonté principale était de remonter à la source des rythmes qui font la richesse de notre héritage musical, de partir de l’Afrique pour les suivre, comme à la trace, jusqu’aux Etats-Unis. Ce périple nous a menés du Mali à Paris, de La Nouvelle-Orléans à Sao Paulo, en passant par les Caraïbes » soulignait Marcus. C’est ce voyage chargé d’histoire que retransmet cet album, sur lequel on retrouve également le groove unique et le son de basse inimitable du musicien.

WhoMadeWho is the Scandinavian band that you dont want to miss. In March the 3rd they release their fifth album «Dreams». They used to make instrumental songs that were designed to be played in clubs, but with this album we can feel the evolution of the group. The songs and the lyrics are more refined and elaborated, they describe the album as «more loving, calm and warm». The flatshare is unanimous, we love it!
