Is Anatoly Fomenko right when he claims that the official chronology is off by centuries? In this video, we examine the New Chronology, the theory according to which antiquity may be a rewritten version of the Middle Ages, and the question of whether we are really living in the year 2026 or within an entirely different historical framework.
Fomenko is a Russian mathematician and academician who applies statistical methods to medieval chronicles and reaches a conclusion that sounds impossible: that much of Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, Egypt, and biblical history may have been duplicated, rewritten, or shifted in time.
But the theory also has serious problems. Standing against it are dendrochronology, radiocarbon dating, astronomical calculations, linguistics, and almost the entire academic community.
The question remains: Is Fomenko a genius who saw something that others refuse to acknowledge, or a brilliant mathematician who applied the right tools to the wrong problem?
