Painting skies and clouds with watercolor can certainly be tricky.

I often recommend working on sky studies before attempting to paint skies in full landscapes, especially if you're just starting out.

This will help you gain essential skills so that you can paint skies in full scenes with greater confidence and ease. 👩‍🎨

This tutorial will help you build essential skills for painting skies, such as water control and your ability to visualize clouds, and we're using one single color (Cobalt Blue!).

Must-know information to help you paint believable clouds is shared along the way, too, which you can take with you to other sky paintings.

I hope you find it helpful and, if you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the Comments below. 💙
