This printhead was bone-dry, rock-hard, and sitting unused for years — the kind most people would throw away. In this video, I show you how I safely unclog an extremely dried printhead without destroying it.
We start by removing and inspecting the manifold, explaining why forcing ink through a clogged system is one of the fastest ways to permanently damage a printhead. You’ll see how I identify internal blockages, clean the manifold properly (without touching the core), and use controlled water flow to slowly reopen the nozzles.
I also explain:
• Why ultrasonic cleaners should ONLY be used on the manifold
• How people destroy printheads by pushing ink without removing blockages
