One such victim, Lynsey Bennett (32) is suffering with terminal cancer and settled in the High Court. Tony Holohan refused to apologise to Bennett when asked.
In 2018, Tony Holohan advised against a review of CervicalCheck the day after Vicky Phelan called for an investigation into the screening programme.
Vicky Phelan said that "there was an attempt to gag me during the court case", and that Holohan's attempt to block a review into Cervical Check was "more of it."
Holohan is the Chair of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
