BREAKING: TRANS IDEOLOGY COVER-UP - BURKES RESPOND TO EDWIN POOTS IN BELFAST
On the evening of Sunday 17 August we visited Hillsborough Free Presbyterian Church and sought to speak with DUP councillor and Education Authority board member Jonathan Craig.
The Education Authority, which employs over 40,000 people, is promoting transgender ideology in schools across Northern Ireland as revealed in a 60-page document issued to all schools.
There has been deep shock across the country at the revelation that the Chair of the Education Authority is none other than a Free Presbyterian elder, Mervyn Storey. Mr Storey stands on the pulpit of Ballymoney Free Presbyterian Church on a Sunday, then for the rest of his three-day working week for £50,000 a year promotes LGBTQ+ ideology in every school across the country. He is supported in this by his minister, David Park.
In a further revelation it had come to light that another board member of the Education Authority, the aforementioned Jonathan Craig, is a member of Hillsborough Free Presbyterian Church.
Mr Craig, a Free Presbyterian, has been silent while the organisation he helps to run implements and enforces transgender ideology in every school in Northern Ireland from preschool to secondary level.
Only recently Mr Craig stated publicly that “Our children need protection from this madness” - speaking of the gender identity clinic in Belfast.
In reality, however, Mr Craig is overseeing the quiet but relentless indoctrination of generations of young people with transgender and LGBTQ+ ideology.
The deception being foisted on the public in this manner is appalling.
On Sunday evening we were informed that Mr Craig was not at the church. We then asked to speak with Mr Poots, but were told that he had left. We thought this was strange, as Mr Poots had been leading the congregational singing during the meeting. It seems to us that Mr Poots left quickly to avoid meeting with us.
Mr Poots has since released a video regarding our visit to Hillsborough Free Presbyterian Church.
In his statement Mr Poots said that if we wished to speak to him about “political issues” or to “talk politics”, we should contact his office.
We have never had an interest in speaking to Mr Poots about “political issues”. Mr Poots is fully aware of this.
We wished to ask Mr Poots how he can walk into the Free Presbyterian church with a man who promotes LGBTQ+ ideology to schoolchildren? How he can back up men who hold the Bible on a Sunday, then advance the LGBTQ+ agenda every other day of the week? How he can lead congregational singing on the Lords Day, while standing over the promotion of transgenderism?
A number of years ago there were some objections made to the promotion of transgenderism by a board member of the Education Authority. The member was vehemently opposed by Daniel McCrossan MLA of the SDLP who told him his views were “extreme” and “destructive” and that the member needed to be fully investigated. Colin Houston, Director of the LGBTQ+ group ShoutOut, called for the member to be sacked.
This board member subsequently resigned in 2021. He was replaced by Mervyn Storey, who has since been elevated to Chair of the Board.
It is clear the board of the Education Authority is vehemently opposed to Christian belief. LGBTQ+ ideology must be affirmed and promoted.
It is a disgrace that instead of engaging in this issue Edwin Poots runs away from accountability.
We are also alarmed at the number of Free Presbyterian ministers who have come out in support of those who seek to blacken us for raising these issues, including former Moderator Ron Johnstone.
We also note the comment by retired Free Presbyterian minister David McIlveen that he “sympathises” with the Burke family. There is something seriously wrong when Mr McIlveen feels pity for people who are doing what he should be doing - calling out the depravity of the Education Authority and it’s accomplices in the Free Presbyterian Church.
The Holy Scripture clearly declares that God was angry with the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah and destroyed those cities with fire and brimstone (Genesis 19). Are the ministers of the Free Presbyterian Church now so politically correct that they are ashamed of God’s sacred truth?
We call on all parents to remember the words of the Lord Jesus Christ - “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not” - and hold their politicians and church leaders to account for their silence and complicity on this grave issue.

A nurse from Mayo University Hospital has spoken of the inhumane treatment of elderly patients at MUH. All staff at the hospital were gagged by management in March 2020, at the beginning of the first lockdown.
🔴 The nurse from MUH said in an interview in July 2020 that elderly people were just carted away to the [Covid] wards, and we wouldnt even know...what became of that old man or woman.
🔴 The nurse also revealed that If they went to the [Covid] ward they were left all day behind a curtain until somebody – nurse or doctor – had to go in and give them some kind of care.
The same nurse featured prominently on local and national media in recent days, speaking on the Mayo News, Midwest Radio and RTÉ Drivetime. It is alarming that none of these media outlets had any questions for her regarding the gagging of all staff at Mayo University Hospital over a year ago.
Many elderly and vulnerable people, often with underlying conditions and without any close relatives, have died sudden and unexpected deaths in the Covid ward at Mayo University Hospital since March 2020. They were dealt with by staff who were and are under a vow of silence. This is the mother and baby homes of the modern day.
We cannot, and will not, move on to other things while the staff at Mayo University Hospital are gagged. We strongly encourage you to contact your elected representatives and demand that they address this intolerable situation.")
