Latest Navy News — Pacific Ocean, in vicinity of Hawaiian Islands, August 18, 2020: This significant training event took place as part of RIMPAC 2020 (Exercise Rim of the Pacific) and involved multiple nations and vessels. Specifically, the 40,000 ton Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) took center stage during a successful completion of a division tactics (DIVTACS) exercise with Royal Brunei Navy Darussalam-class offshore patrol vessel KDB Darulehsan (OPV 07), Republic of Singapore Navy Formidable-class frigate RSS Supreme (FFG 73) and Royal New Zealand Navy ship HMNZS Manawanui.
