Aircraft Test Out NEW And IMPROVED Flight Deck Of Massive MILITARY MEDICAL SHIP USNS Mercy!
MV-22B Osprey recently conducted flight operations from the upgraded flight deck of the 65,000-ton converted oil tanker now hospital ship USNS Mercy. It is intended that the ship's aviation facilities will be compatible with V-22 Osprey and MH-60 Seahawk, introducing a capability for these aircraft to launch and recover in challenging weather conditions.
Mercy is already able to provide swift, flexible, large scale medical support to the United States Armed Forces as well as delivering crucial humanitarian aid and disaster relief throughout the Pacific.
