If you're experiencing an issue with your washing machine (or any appliance, really) immediately after purchasing it, always check to make sure it's installed correctly first, even if you didn't DIY. The installation instructions can be found online (for free!) on most manufacturer's websites by looking up the model number. From there, you can do a visual inspection, and if it's not installed correctly, you can contact whoever installed it to fix their mistake. If it doesn't wind up being an installation issue, most full-sized residential appliances sold in the U.S. have a one year warranty from the date of purchase, so contacting whoever you purchased it from would be the next course of action!
As far as repairs go, whether or not ANY repair is "worth it" is entirely up to YOU! You have to take into account the cost of the repair, the time it will take (versus the cost and time it would take to buy a new one), how much money you've ALREADY invested into it, and whether you even like your current appliance to begin with! And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Getting the opinion of your appliance repair tech can be helpful, but I always recommend doing your own research FIRST so you don't get taken advantage of.
