Hello everyone, and welcome back to another cosy crafting vlog. I hope you've all had a lovely week.
This week has been all about quilts, stitching and enjoying the slower side of making. I'll be showing you how I launder one of my larger quilts in the bath, which is my preferred way of washing handmade quilts. It's a gentle method that gives the quilt a thorough clean while allowing the cotton batting to soften beautifully and develop that lovely crinkled texture we all enjoy.
With one quilt freshly washed, it was time to begin the next! I'll take you through the process of basting my latest quilt using my three-roller basting system. It makes preparing a quilt so much easier, helping to keep everything smooth and wrinkle-free without the need to crawl around on the floor.
I'll also share a recently framed cross stitch finish, and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. Seeing a project finally framed really brings all those hours of stitching to life.
As always, there are plenty of works in progress to catch you up on. I've been making steady progress on my wool felt appliqué pillow, adding a few more stitches to my current cross stitch project, and I've also cast on a brand-new pair of socks, which has been the perfect relaxing evening knit.
So, make yourself a cup of tea, settle into your favourite chair, and join me for another week filled with quilting, stitching and cosy creativity. If you enjoy spending time together, I'd love it if you subscribed to the channel and left me a comment below letting me know what you're currently working on. I always enjoy reading about your projects and hearing what everyone has on their needles and in their sewing rooms.
